Kieran founded the company in 2019 inspired by his children- especially his young son, who loved to follow him around and beg to go on service calls with his dad. with over 18 years of HVAC experience, Kieran brings extensive knowledge, skill and dedication to every project.

You'll find Kieran on- site each day, working along side his skilled team to ensure every job meets the highest standards of quality and care. Kieran is known for his excellent workmanship, attention to detail and outstanding customer communication, Kieran takes pride in promptly returning calls and staying in touch with clients who relay on his expertise. His passion for HVAC is evident in both precision of his work and the lasting relationships he builds with customers.

Kayla gave Kieran the motivation to take the leap and open something that he’s always dreamed of. Kayla has been involved in the design, implementation, efficiency, and organization of the start-up of the company and helped make her husband’s dreams come true. Kayla has been by Kieran’s side from the start of his HVAC career and continues to encourage and watch him grow.

As our office manager, Kayla keeps the heart of our operations running smoothly. Wearing many hats, she also serves as our account manager and overseas our social media presence,. Ensuring that every aspect of our business- from customer communication to online engagement - reflects our company values and professionalism. Her abilities to balance multiple responsibilities with efficiency and care makes her an essential part of our success.

MCKYE SHAW

HVAC TECHNICIAN

Mckye brings 11 years of HVAC knowledge and fieldwork to the team. He is dedicated and committed to providing the best possible service he can. His great customer service skills are an added bonus to his list of qualifications. Mckye will take his time and explain, and discuss any questions or concerns customers may have.

With Mckye’s addition to Northern HVAC Co., it really brings the meaning to have a family-owned and -operated company. Owner and operator of Northern HVAC Co., Kieran Gillooly, and team member, Mckye Shaw are brother-in-laws and have been best friends since grade 6. They share the same passion for customer service and it is high on both of their priority lists. They also take pride in producing amazing workmanship. This is an A team and you will feel absolutely comfortable dealing with and having them in your home.

JESSICA SHAW

Administrative / Service Manager

Jessica is kind, friendly, detailed & goal-oriented, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Jessica has lots of experience with technology and has a good comprehension of the HVAC spectrum. Jessica is very understanding of our customers’ needs and strives to deliver the best possible customer service experience as possible. Jessica is known for her excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Jessica keeps the office organized and supports both our customers and technicians to ensure a smooth workflow from start to finish. Her positive attitude and dedication to providing outstanding service make her an invaluable part of our team and key contributor to our company success.

BRONSON MCCORD

HVAC TECHNICIAN

Bronson showed an interest in having a job in the trades field at the high school job fair. After having a meeting with Kieran, Bronson made the educated decision that he would like to head off to school and get some of his HVAC licenses! Bronson has been working with Northern HVAC co. since July of 2022 since then Bronson has obtained his gas fitter license and is a G2 license holder. He's hard working, dedicated and has an exceptional wok ethic. His deep knowledge and commitment to continuous learning make him a true asset to the team. Bronson is always striving to stay up to date in the latest technology and best practices. Always brining passion and quality work to Northern HVAC .

Trevor Turner

HVAC Technician

Trevor Joined Northern HVAC CO. in February 2025 .

Trevor Turner is a certified OBT2 and G2 technician who brings dedication and enthusiasm to every project. A recent graduate of the HVAC program at Fleming College, while in the program Trevor gained a strong foundation in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Since joining our team, he has been working closely with our experienced technicians, continuously developing his hands-on skills and technical expertise. Trevor’s commitment to learning and delivering quality workmanship makes him a valued member of our service team.

With WIFI capabilities these two Mitsubishi Hyper Heat – Heat Pumps are a great option for this secondary residents, when their main source of heat is electric baseboards. When winter plunges you into sub-zero territory, your primary heating source is not always enough to keep your house and family comfortable. These Heat pumps recover the heat at a much faster rate. Hyper-Heating technology is designed to provide you with year-round comfort even in the dead of winter. a significant advance in technology in these hyper heat -heat pumps, H2i uses an enhanced compressor system to deliver heat even when outdoor temperatures are as low as -25° C. This dwelling's existing furnace did not have enough room in the plenum to accommodate a standard " A" Indoor evaporator coil . moving the furnace to the left we were able to make custom fittings to accommodate a "Slab" style Indoor evaporator coil . This 2 Ton KeepRite AC is keeping this home comfortable on these hot summer days!

This beautiful new build received a new 80K KeepRite Furnace with an 205 Max LifeBreath HRV ! Also known as a heat recovery ventilation system these units can recover up to 90% of normally wasted heat and reduce your heating requirements by up to 25%.They are also used to improve indoor air quality. Having poor indoor air quality can have significant impacts on condensation, damp, mold and dust in the home. This can lead to unpleasant smells and a build up on toxic gases and even lead to health problems such as asthma and other respiratory problems. If you want to reduce your heating costs, have a constant supply of fresh, filtered air in your home, no mold, mildew or condensation then a heat recovery system is for you

New boiler install on a racking system and a cascade control. These boilers do in floor heating for the entire building as well as the domestic hot water . This water based in floor radiant heating system works by directly warming people and objects in the room. Radiant heat warms via heat radiation this allows people to feel warm even when the ambient ( air ) temperature in the room is actually cooler. These floors can be set up to 104 degrees F but most like to keep them at around 80-85 degrees. Radiant heat provides an average saving of 15% on heating bills thanks to the efficient way it warms a home.

Air conditioning works by removing the humidity and water particles from the air, leaving only dry, cool air to flow into the building interior. Hot, unfiltered air can exacerbate respiratory problems, allergies, heat-induced stress, sinus problems and limited mobility. People who suffer from these conditions find filtered cold air alleviates their discomfort and allergy symptoms. Not to mention being overly hot just makes you irritable and uncomfortable

This week Northern HVAC is working on another new build! This beautiful new build , will be receiving a propane furnace with an ECM motor, duct work & an HRV ! An HRV is a very energy efficient system that pulls the stale air from inside your home while simultaneously replacing it with fresh air from outside your home.

Pulled out an oil furnace and replaced it with a new 80K KeepRite propane Furnace,The green glow coming from the return air side of the furnace is a UVC light ! This light helps to give your family the most purified air in your home . Helping to Eliminate microbes 🦠, mold , bacteria , dust , dirt , pollen , viruses ect.

That smile says it all! If you are travelling along highway 118 W between Bobcaygeon Road and Queens Line road be sure to check out our new road sign. A BIG thank you to Gail and Kathy at County Signs, they did a fabulous job at creating our reflective road sign.

The old boiler( pictured on top) was not piped properly , inefficient and not reliable for the homeowners. Northern HVAC Co. replaced it with a new Viessmann Vitodens 222-F, B2TB 125 with a built in domestic hot water storage. The Vitodens 222-F, B2TB gas-fired condensing boiler is an ideal space saving option for new installations and a smart upgrade for outdated boiler and domestic hot water (DHW) storage systems. With its innovative Storage Tank Loading System ensures a reliable and efficient DHW supply equivalent to that of a larger tank. With efficiency up to 98% at full modulation and 95% AFUE. Exceeding ENERGY STAR® efficiency requirements. On phase two of this project we will add in low temperature rads, leaving room on the boiler piping to accommodate this in the future.

When any machine has its normal operation hampered, it will reduce its efficiency and ability to function properly. Many of us are probably guilty of forgetting about basic maintenance of some of the mechanical equipment in our homes; keeping your HRV (heat recovery ventilator) clean would be a good thing to keep high on the priority list. We discovered this Bee's Nest in an HRV unit. This is why it is so important to have an annual service done on your HVAC equipment.

The CHD35 offers up to 30,000 BTU’s, providing a substantial focal point for any room.

This Beautiful Regency Fireplace was installed just in time for Thanksgiving weekend. This Ultimate black gas stove was completed with black iron gas pipe up the wall, very sleek and modern. This fire provides 40,000 BTU of high efficiency heat for large living areas but can be turned down to enjoy the fire view with less warmth.

Check out this new HVAC system for a specialized building. Pictured below is a new 80K KeepRite Furnace with custom ducting and filter rack. Sitting in font of the furnace you will see a Dehumidifier. When installed and used correctly dehumidifiers can protect and make your home more comfortable. Excessive moisture can make paint bubble up, furniture warp, and can even generate water damage in walls and floors. Having a level of 30-50% relative humidity is ideal. Also pictured is a steam humidifier and fan pack (in a separate room). Humidifiers are used for many benefits some include; to Protect Sensitive Equipment and Products which require precise humidity level controls. The benefit for this building and room is having an optimal air quality and atmospheric conditions for a collection of special artifacts and paintings.

Boiler 🚨 The before picture - This boiler application was installed Incorrectly. This application was trying to run both an out door wood boiler and an indoor propane boiler. A propane boiler is required to be pressurized where an out door wood boiler dose not. When using these two systems in congunction with each other a-heat exchanger is a key component that is required, Which was missing in this application along with other numerous boiler piping issues. The after picture - Mckye one of our HVAC specialist took the lead on this job , completing a fully functional Master piece.

The month of September is full Of all new builds for us. We would like to take a moment to admire and appreciate the entire construction process of a new home construction. Many hands in trades combine to help build these beautiful structures. The construction industry has had many set backs with products being unavailable and causing delays with many of their projects. With a little bit a patience and time the trades all try to coordinate their schedules to complete these beautiful builds for their customers.

Happy new year everyone! Looking back over last year This was one of our most favorite projects of 2021 . We started this journey with Audrey’s Aquatic therapy and rehabilitation in the spring of last year . It was a very exciting project for us to work on, helping bring Audrey’s vision to life. On the weekend the pool was sitting at 92 degrees! We have a few more days schedule here this month and then it will be completed. Radiant floor heating is a method of heating your home by applying heat underneath or within the floor. Hydronic radiant floor is a system of pex pipes laid within a floor that carries hot water into specific rooms or " zones" dispersing the heat through the floor surface. Hydronic systems are the most popular and cost effective radiant heating system by using low to medium temperatures. Even though hydronic systems are more costly in the beginning you benefit the efficiency and comfort down the road. We just laid this floor for a customer and will be back next week to finish off the full scope of work for their new home construction.
